When a photographer dreams of a perfect golden hour beach session, this is exactly what they envision. Adding in a touch of serenity and endless smiles as we capture a maternity session? - well that is just the icing on the cake. Matt and Weronika were a couple I had the pleasure to do some engagement photos for pre-pandemic and their story over the years has been a beautiful one. They eloped in Hawaii of all places! Now are excited to bring their little girl into the world in just a few short weeks! Of course when they contacted me wanting a beautiful maternity session I was beyond excited to document this next step in their life journey and suggested a beach location which would be perfect for a summer maternity session in Ottawa.

Although it was rainy and dark all day we met up at Petrie Island and had the incredible luck that the sky cleared just at the right time for us to get those dreamy golden rays for our session. Weronika was also both the star and the hero of this session. From start to finish she radiated happiness and sported 3 different outfits, then additionally was down for getting fully into the chilly Ottawa River for some truly stunning solo shots.

We got the beach mostly to ourselves for this entire session and both Matt and Weronika took full advantage of having the space to ourselves. Also they brought their very own Mom and Dad hats which were probably my favorite thing about the session - okay actually I loved everything about this session, shhhh! Throughout our time spent at Petrie Island is to obvious how happy and excited these expectant parents are. Sending vibes of nothing but peace, happiness and joy in the coming weeks to this couple as they welcome their baby girl into the world!
